Baldwin Employees Honored with CLARCOR Achievement Awards
Michael Von Seggren, Wendy Wilkins, Diane Karstens and Rosario Castillo recently received the CLARCOR Achievement Award.
Four Baldwin Filters employees were recently presented the CLARCOR Achievement Award for outstanding achievement.
Rosario Castillo, Diane Karstens, Michael Von Seggern and Wendy Wilkins, were recognized for their efforts on several key projects at Baldwin Filters.
The CLARCOR Achievement Award is given to select individuals employed by CLARCOR companies who have exhibited behavior that embodies the values and philosophies of CLARCOR.
Castillo and Karstens, both International Customer Service & Logistics Adminstrators, were nominated for actively quoting and negotiating freight terms resulting in significant savings for the company.
"These two individuals take great pride in their work and are enthusiastic in realizing savings for the company," said Steve Zimmerman, Manager, International Product Management and PMO, who nominated the pair.
Von Seggern, Design Engineer, Air Filter Engineering, was nominated for the award for his work with the company's Channel Flow product line. During his three-year tenure with the company, Von Seggern has also filed for three patents for air filter design.
"He has embedded himself in every facet of the Baldwin organization. His peers recognize the extraordinary effort he puts forth. It is this type of commitment and effectiveness that is so worthy of recognition," said Jeff Rogers, Manager, Air Filter Engineering, who nominated Von Seggern for the honor.
Wilkins, Human Resources Generalist, in the company's Gothenburg, NE, facility, was recognized for her efforts during the company's transition in payroll systems across three facilities, as well as ongoing projects.
"Throughout the transition period, she did a fantastic job of ensuring that our payroll system transition was seamless for our employees. While she was away from Gothenburg, she remained in constant contact with the employees (in Gothenburg) and made sure that all special and regular human resources functions went off without a hitch," said Brian Riley, Plant Manager at Gothenburg, who recommended Wilkins for the award.
Yaw Promoted to Director of Marketing
Baldwin Filters, headquartered in Kearney, NE, recently announced the promotion of Theresa Yaw to Director of Marketing.
In her new role, Yaw will be responsible for a wide variety of marketing programs and initiatives for the company's Baldwin and Hastings brands.
Yaw joined Baldwin Filters in 1993, and has served as Financial Analyst, Sales and Marketing Analyst, and Brand Manager with both Baldwin and CLARCOR.
She is a graduate of Northwest Missouri State University, where she earned a bachelor of science degree in economics; she also holds a master of arts degree in economics from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.

Baldwin Filters To Exhibit at Mid-America Truck Show
Baldwin Filters will be exhibiting at Mid-America Truck Show in Louisville, KY, March 27-29, 2014. Baldwin Filters will be located at Booth 17104 in the north wing of the Kentucky Expo Center.
Baldwin Filters provides lube, air, fuel and coolant filters for heavy-duty on-highway vehicles.

Wood Promoted to Director of Financial Reporting and Analysis
Baldwin Filters, headquartered in Kearney, NE, recently announced the promotion of Tawnia Wood to the position of Director of Financial Reporting and Analysis.
Wood joined Baldwin Filters after graduating from the University of Nebraska at Kearney and has held several positions, most recently Controller, within the Finance Department over the past 17 years.
As Director of Financial Reporting and Analysis, Wood will have financial reporting responsibility for Baldwin Filters' worldwide locations and she will play a key role in future expansions.

Baldwin Filters will be exhibiting at CONEXPO in Las Vegas, March 4-8, 2014. Baldwin Filters will be located at Booth 84208 in South Hall 4 of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Baldwin Filters provides lube, air, fuel and coolant filters for heavy-duty equipment. The firm hopes to educate show attendees about the need for and advantages of proper filtration, said Dave Amato, Vice President, U.S. and Canada Sales.
