At the recent annual Automotive Content Professionals Network (ACPN) Knowledge Exchange conference, WHI Solutions announced Baldwin Filters was the recipient of their WHI Best in Class award in the Electronic Data Excellence category. Baldwin was the only company within the industry to achieve this level of excellence.
The Auto Care Association (ACA) led the development of the ACES (Automotive Content Enhanced Standard) and PIES (Product Information Enhanced Standard) standards for use by both the automotive and heavy-duty industry.
The cataloging group at Baldwin Filters started the process in 2010 to implement both standards and to distribute electronic data to electronic data partners on a monthly basis. Distribution of PIES data to e-cat partners started in early 2011, while ACES was first sent to e-cat partners in the fall of 2012.
Providing the data was not enough to win the WHI award. Baldwin’s exceptional customer support, provided along with this data, tipped the scales in the favor of Baldwin when determining the winner. All of this was done while implementing a new cataloging system database, which was no small feat in itself.
The Automotive Content Professionals Network (formerly National Catalog Managers Association (NCMA)) is the only association devoted exclusively to the education and professional development needs of automotive catalog managers and product content professionals.
ACPN is a professional society with 220 members who are employed by Auto Care Association (formerly Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA)) member companies. The annual ACPN Knowledge Exchange conference is the largest annual gathering of catalog professionals, their vendors and solution partners. This year’s meeting was held in Orlando, Florida on April 19-22.
